I think the Toro's have a unique steering column, which is missing in both. I love those old toros!

Gary,
Off the top of my head major parts you can use:
1) engine & accessories
2) transmission
3) axles & CV joints
4) knuckles (would need to ream ball joint tapers)
5) upper control arms
6) lower control arms (would need beefing up)
There's probably more bits and pieces but like I said "off the top of my
head."
Personally I think you'd be better off finding a GMC parts coach.

Hey All;
This ad for 2 1969 Toronados just showed up on CL, and they are in
my town. I think they are overpriced, but does anyone think they are
worth the price? Should I go look at them??

Gary,
I think you should get them. $1,800.00 for both (asking) is a good
price. Since they are '69s, there is a very good chance that they have
nodular iron crankshafts in them. You can use the A frames, and
knuckles (if they are disk brake units), CVs, trans, air cleaners etc.
Shoot 'em a low price and see what happens.
Those are nice cars.

If it were me, I'd try to build one nice car out of both, and keep the spare usable parts for my coach or the other Toro.
