First I want to thank everyone on this net for all the help I received solving my problem.
To recap what happened, I would drive my coach and all of a sudden it would get rich, real rich, so rich that if I let off the pedal it would quit.
I changed everything after talking to Howell Manufacturing and there tech support. From injectors, O2 sensor, map sensor, ECM, tach filter, and then they said it was my distributor so I changed it. Since all of this did nothing I went on this forum.
Some great guys solved my problem. What was it? Ahhhhhhh..........this is worth reading.
The vents coming from the two tanks on our GMC are supposed to go to a fuel separator which stops raw fuel from going to the canisters up front. This separator is located in the left rear wheel well.
My separator was missing and the vent lines went direct to the canister, filling the canister. Out of the top of the canister is a hose that goes to the injector. You can figure out what happened, the raw fuel was being sucked into the engine and it was getting super rich, especially after I bought fuel.
Consequently, there was nothing wrong with the injection system.
Thank you all again for all your help, truly
