Gene,
I have always thought that a sectioned VW bus painted up like a GMC
would be the absolutely coolest GMC towed vehicle. I have inquired on
two so far only to be surprised at the asking prices. There is room
in one of those for a SBC engine and that would be the ultimate.

As I drove to work, I used to see a VW bus that had been cut down just like this. It had a "Cutesy" look to it and turned out my boss knew the guy that did it.

The shortened wheel base caused some comfort issues, it would always have a "washbaord" kind of ride on a road with any kind of ripple in it.

They were not sure how it would react if they put the brakes on in an emergency situation or if they were on a hill going up and hit the gas.

It rocked a lot I am told LOLOLOL.

It certainly was a nice looking "box" with a toyish look to it.

LarC (Thinking the toyish look of this shortened bus was kind of nice, however unfeasable it might be. )
