Couple of members reminded me I was too old to buy an older GMC mh that might need routine upkeep (maintenance items). So I decided to look for one that had been made like new. But here is a copy of the old peom that I heard 45 or 50 years ago, which I sent to the young guys:

With fond regret I oft remember the youthful days of joy and fun
When all my limbs were limp and limber,
Did I say all? Well all but one.

For now I am old, aged and grey, no longer can I leap and run,
For all my limbs are stiff with age,
Did I say all? Well, all but one.

Thanks. Yes, I will keep looking. And I will be happy to join the cult (or
club)., if I live long enough. But doubtful, I can no longer regularly
shoot under my age at golf.

Jesse,

Thanks for joining this group.

You have come to the right place.

Yes, we are different, some outspoken, boisterous, opinionated, some even rude & critical (but they don't stay long), helpful, educating & electrifying with knowledge, inspirational, and just a fun bunch of people to be involved with. Some have even called this a GMC university.

We are the largest group of motorhome enthusiast in the world. Because we own [or desire to own] the best motorhome ever manufactured. The Classic GMC...
We can truthfully say that if we break down [anywhere in the US of Canada] we have a list of concerned GMC owners that will somehow come to the aid and render assistance. We can call a number of specialty GMC shops around the country and get replacement parts almost overnight. They are specialty shops on both coasts and midwest that do nothing but work on and restore these fine Classics. We have the right people with the right knowledge & experience working on these beauty's & looking out for us.

So, that being said ,

Welcome to this group, you are here and apparently you have joined. And yes, you lived long enough. What took you so long to get here. LOL

Your attitude, at 89yrs old is inspirational. As Dan Greg would say, "your a Shiner", http://www.danandteri.blogspot.com/
I'd love to hit 89 on the golf course, and I'm 22yrs younger than you. I'm a veteran like you, just don't have as many bragging rights.
And I have plans to live as long as you and still be on the road in my GMC.

Keep looking for that GMC that you don't have to work on.

I'm looking forward to meeting you at a convention or rally.

Thanks

Thanks, Mac,

Glad to know I'm not along in old age. But I don't like old age, guess I
will have to get used to it. I am still looking for a GMC coach, missed the
one in Calif. that had a new engine.
