Larry,
I never, ever, subscribe to the doomsday concept. To me it's a lot
like when your mother tells you to always put on clean underwear in
case you have an accident and have to go to the hospital. (Someone
might see your ........) Heck, if the accident were that bad, I'd
probably s**t my pants anyway.
I got hit from behind a few years ago while driving the GMC. The
vehicle that struck me hit that great energy absorbing bumper, jumped
over it and broke the end cap. I'm pretty sure they worthless.

As a builder of many project vehicles throughout the years, I have always done many custom changes for handling, performance fit & finish and custom looks, Not always taking in the original design of the manufacturer, This has been one of them, I appreciate everyones opinion, Thats what forums are for "info, fact and opinion"
I will roll the dice for the better looks on this one.
Just make sure you don't bump at the next convention
"Can I still stand on the bumper?"
Hell at five foot two I can bearly reach the windshield as it is when on the bumper, But didn't seem to make it any worse.

Same place I always stood Matt, on the bumper. I also have the Ragusa
step/license plate holder and it is quite functional.
