Jim,
Pat will sell most of the Corvairs and probably all the parts (including
some NOS stuff) he had accumulated; she will be working with two long-time
trusted Corvair friends to guide her; there is a possibility that she will
have an auction for all the rolling equipment he had accumulated, including
the GMC's if we haven't sold them by that time, but I do not have a time
frame for when all this might be. Cecil and Pat were involved in the NC
and USA Corvair organizations for many, many years. He ran the judging at
several national Corvair rally's years ago. I know that a number of his
Corvair acquaintances are interested in his Corvair cars, memorabilia, toys
and parts. I think Cecil's Corvair and GMC coach friend Allen Martin will
be attending the Bean Station rally and will have more info about what she
may do at that time. She is going to take her time to inventory and figure
out what all he has.

JR, I never got to meet Cecil or Pat since I only joined the Dixielanders a few years ago, so finding after his death that we had a few things in common but never met is sad. My wife Jane was born in and grew up in High Point, NC and learned to drive in a '64 Corvair convertible. After I left the Army we lived in High Point and her daily driver was a '65 Corvair convertible. I really miss those days.
I hope to be a Bean Station if the doctors give the green light. If not would you or Allen Martin keep me in the loop.
I am really interested.
