Changed out OEM Air Compressor with a new Firestone single cyl.
The OEM was making a lot of noise and we did not have a lot of confidence in it so I bought a new pump from Jeff Sirum who BTW also changed out my bag system last Thursday.
Must say that the Coach rides higher, not sure it rides any better, but I changed the system because I needed a new left side bag before we did any serious travels.
Do not understand why the OEM pump was installed so that the air filters would be so difficult to service. Why did they not install the pump with the filter housings exposed instead of forcing us to remove the pump completely in order to clean/service the filters?
Is it worthwhile to overhaul these old pumps? I understand the kits cost almost as much as a new pump. I do like to tinker with things and thought about putting a kit in just to have a spare.
Now I have 3 OEM bags with Cones and a compressor that works but makes a lot of noise. Methinks I have too many extra parts and if I am going to carry them around I will soon need a trailer. <vbg>

Most of the owners do not even know of the existance of it.
When your in that enviroment where there are multiple thins going
around, they elect to sluff off these minor things.
I saw things like that during the summers I was working at Aero Commander.

Richard,
I can't remember if you noted it in another message but which system do you
have (Powerlevel or Electrolevel) and what brand of pump you want to rebuild
(Dana or Thomas)?

Richard,
If you want to rebuild the pump Jim K. sells the rebuild kit for $79.95.

I reckon you should rebuild it so you can join the rest of us that have
piles of spares that NEVER get used! ;-)

Hi Rob, it is a Electrolevel and the pump which looks like a Dana is a
Hadley. Here is a picture of it disassembled.
