That space is better suited for additional storage. Get yourself a couple
of ceramic cube heaters...quieter, more efficient.

A heat strip in the front roof air conditioner kept us comfrotable
in tempatures down to 30 degrees. Only problem with that is
you need 110 volts to run the unit.

I could not come to terms,$$, with the rv dealer on testing our board so I will smoke test it myself. Now, if I can find that email from Emery that tells me how to do it.

For what it's worth. After I "modified" the drivers side of my coach in an accident, I removed all propane and propane powered bits and the dinette. The difference in storage space is great (now full of all the electrically powered "bits" I use). Small space heater does it for me - but remember the times I need it down here in SW Florida are few. Hope all your repairs go well. Keep smiling.

Hi Dan

Here is what I sent to you on Feb. 2

HI Dan

I have worked on some Suburbans before but I don't own one.
I just checked the wiring diagram.
I would suggest you take your voltmeter and check to be sure that you
are getting voltage on both sides of the thermostat.
Then the wire from the thermostat goes to a limit switch and then on
to the sail switch.

You probably can't reach these without taking a panel off the furnace.
But if you somehow can, assuming that you have voltage coming through
the thermostat I would then check both sides of the limit switch to
see if that is working and then check the sail switch to make sure
that voltage is getting through it when you move the sail.

If you have voltage through the sail switch then it probably is a
module problem.

One last thought -- is there a reset switch and / or a fuse mounted on
the furnace?
If so check them both.

Teri is gone all day with friends. So, was up to me to figure out the dog gone furnace, alone. Get this, the stupid thermostat wire is open somewhere between the term. and the furnace plug. What would cause that, a mouse? We don't have mice or squirrels that reside in here. So, now to fine new wire and try to re run it. Crazy, ain't it. Teri did a good job with the saw so we can get the furnace back in with no problems, and, it won't show. Where would I be without this girl? In some county jail, probably.

Dan -
I don't remember your layout.
in mine they run from behind the thermostat across to the wall and
then they follow the wall to the furnace.
It might be easier for you to just run a new wire from the back of the
thermostat.

We have heat and I got it fixed before Teri got home. Now, when she tells me where she wants the thermostat mounted I will run the wires. I am not going to try to put it back where it was, behind the bath. I am thinking it will be real handy to mount it in the kitchen.

The only problem with putting it in the centter of the motorhome is
that it might get too cold in the bedroom area in the winter.

I guess that you can turn it up higher but we do a lot of winter
camping and like to have the furnace controlled in the area in which
we sleep.
Its also nice to be able to reach it while still in bed and turn it up
a little before getting up in the morning as we keep it pretty low as
we are nice and warm when sleeping under the comforter.

Yep, that is where our's was and I loved it there. Might be able to mount it on the closet wall. That way I can raise up and turn it on without getting out of bed. Thanks, Emery, for the help.

Dan, My T-Stat is on the closet wall. I think our coaches have similar layout. (Wet bath on the pass side) It would be pretty easy to run new wires down the closet and under everything or up over the closet. Mine is a 77.

The panels on the bottom of the closet remove easily and you can fish them behind the toe kick or even in front up out of sight all the way to the kitchen cabinet.

On another note, took her out for a spin today with the new Manny Tranny and the 3.21. Seems to have some more git-up-an-go. Just cannot wait until I have a new Carb!

Great Chris. How about a run over to Duncan next week? That would give it a nice little workout. I hope we are back there next week. Going to Slab City first then on back to Duncan.
