Hi all,

I need to refresh the brake system on the GMC. Going to replace the MC, booster, flex lines, wheel cylinders, pads and repack the rear wheel bearings. I have already done the front calipers and pads along with Dave Lenzi's hubs & knuckles.
I can do this work myself no problem however last year I spent the entire spring/summer/fall replacing the timing chain/repacking cv joints, replacing ball joints refurbishing the interior and countless other tasks. This year my family and I would actually like to use the MH! So I'm willing to spend a little extra cash to have someone go through the brakes for me. Question is does anybody know a trustworthy brake shop in the Indianapolis area?

Thanks,
Jon

Jon,

Have you considered taking it to Tom Hampton over in Marysville, OH? I see
its 183 miles there from Westfield?

I will attest to Tom's abilities!

He went through my coach and made it safe to drive home to California. He makes stainless brake and transmission lines that have been likened to jewelry. (a little overkill, but my baby was worth it!)

As of October Tom was a one-man-shop, so if you are in a hurry he might not be the fellow to go to, but if you want someone who can do high quality work at a fair price, then I'd get the coach over to Tom.

JON

I have been to this shop several times but never had them do any work on my coach. They have serviced a few GMCs for customers for years because the dad owned a GMC and was the owner of The garage and the sons grew up and took over when dad died. If I needed general work performed on my coach and was not able to do it myself I would probably use them.
