One of my Transmodes only shows a fuel level on reserve, and with that the generators will not start up, I know I,ve read this is a feature to not allow the unit to run completly out of fuel anyone have an idea how to rectify this. Is it the sending unit on the front tank or something behind the dash.

There is a sending unit in each tank. The inlet tube for the generator is set so it won't draw down the rear tank below 1/4 so you won't be left stranded.

The filler pipes will equalize the tanks when there is more than 1/3 in each and the coach is level. So if you have more than 1/3 reading in the Aux tank, you should have about the same in the main tank.

Check your tank switch and sensor wires to the tanks before you take down the tank to check the sensors.

If I remember correctly your Transmodes were set up as special offices with multiple generators. If that is the case they very likely had special fuel system setups to service the very non-standard configuration. The "GMC" setup fuel system will let the generator run as long as the main tank is more than a quarter full. On your transmodes you will have to determine if it has a "GMC" setup and, if not, how is it different.

Some if not all Transmodes had their generator hooked to the main tank fuel line. I have only worked on one transmode and it was set up this way. The Transmode I worked on was originally a mobile clinic and the generator would drain dry the main tank leaving about 7 gallons in the reserve tank.

Side note: The main tank is the rear tank on a GMC.
