Where does one get a 'digital converter box' for my GMC. Last July on my
return from AZ, I must have stopped at a dozen Wal Marts and they don't
handle them any more it appears.

Soooo, do I go on line or does someone out there have one they could sell
me..and if it works, all the better ! <VBG>

I have one you can have for shipping cost. an Artec T3AP Pro 12v input. Unopened. Got it thru the coupon program. I ended up just buying an 800w inverter for my coach along with a 21" HDTV so, ended up not using it. Interested? I live in Philadelphia PA I cant imagine it costing much to ship.

Most likely on eBay or Internet stores. That's where I got all of
ours. Many people who obtained them early on will offer them on eBay
once they upgrade their TV sets one at a time.

I don't even know how many of them I have! I only have one actual
digital TV! Our two "main" sets (living room and master bedroom)
are on DirecTV and those folks do the coversion. All the others
have converters and those also have access to a master antenna and
(with some funny switching) the DirecTV signal as well. However,
I'm the only one who can remember how to do all the tricks!

This one is not the cheapest but a well regarded brand.

I agree wholeheartedly. The Channelmaster 7000 is definitely the best.
It WAS the only converter that had S-Video output capability! This mode
provides TWO separate signals in one larger cable for video (Chrominance
and Luminance). It is capable of considerably better picture than your
"normal" optional composite (single Yellow cable) video. The composite
video is still better than just feeding the whole TV signal into the TV
set on channel 3 or 4!

I'm pretty sure that the feds prohibited converters from offering the
"component" video outputs (three separate cables) which offer the highest
quality in order to protect sales of new and fully digital TV sets.

I have four of the ChannelMasters and several of the Tivax STB-T8 units
for sets that don't have either S-Video or component inputs.

These two models were rated tops by Consumer Reports back in the
Spring of 2009.

I just checked eBay and found 447 listings for
converter boxes, but only 4 for the Channel
Master units (that's TWO words).
