That may take more time than the original uploading. Tough to edit.
When I've done it, I end up with blanks where photos used to be and I
can't get rid of the blanks.

Steve,
To delete an entire album -- click on your "albums" and then to the right side of each album will be a directory -- click on edit and it will offer the option to delete the entire album.

To delete a photo -- look at the bottom of any photo and click on "edit photo" -- the delete photo option is at the bottom of the list.

Hope this is clear..

Dennis

I've done that Dennis,
And ended up with a blank photo with an X through it where the photo
used to be. My photos are also not in order and it's tough to
organize them. thanks for the tips.

Now ya'll be careful deleting a complete album. We don't want to lose all
that we've gained over the years.

JUST IN CASE, Be sure to create a new one first before you delete the old
one.

Photos can be uploaded in a zip file. I've done it but will have to refresh
my memory on the process before sharing it. You will, however, have to edit
each photo after uploading for descriptions.

One good way to order your photos before uploading is to number them in the
photo names. Ie., 01-picture1.jpg, 02-picture2.jpg, 03-picture3.jpg, ...
and so on. Then just set the "default album sort" by picture name and
you've got it.

More later ...

Thanks Billy.
With 300 photos already up, I'm not sure I want to try to get them in
order. In the future though...

I tried several different ways to hookup the reservoir and the
vacuum pump. My concern was to get brakes working ASAP. When I hooked the pump to the reservoir the brakes don't start working until you pump the reservoir down. I changed the hookup to put the pump in series between booster and the resevoir. That way
the pump doesn't even come on unless the engine loses vacuum. This way the pump only pumps down the booster.
Worked for me.

If you'll always start with "010-Picture Name" and increment by 10, you'll
almost always be able to add something like "033-The one I forgot..." to
insert the one(s) you overlooked. (Or maybe I'm the only one who ever does
that...)

Bob,

I agree with you -- the ACDelco pump should be installed that way because of
its vacuum switch setting. My "vacuum compressor" is wired as it is because
I don't have a vacuum switch and the pump's plumbing is too small to
interpose between the vacuum source and the booster. It's more for a "gotta
keep going" situation than as a panic backup -- that's the reservoir's
job.

I should have explained that when discussing the reservoir plumbing.

Now, that's what I like -- a thinking man that allows for stuff to happen. I
do believe he was taught well.

I learned that trick when doing the automated payroll. It helped in keeping
everyone in order since (at that time) there was no facility for sorting by
last name, etc. (small-minded database developer). I picked a broader range,
however. Same concept. Worked like a charm.

You caught me. Yes, I date from the days when the "bubble sort" was

Bob,

I must be dense but I don't understand how you plumbed it in.

Could you make a schematic that shows the system and all the components and
post a picture of it to the photo site.

Billy, there is a "sort photos" control on the album list that can be
reached by clicking "My Albums" in the upper left after logging in (to
Ken: hint, hint). When I tried to confirm the operation just now,
however, I got a divide-by-zero error and the photos didn't appear as
they once did. That happened the same for several albums that I
tested. When it worked, one could go in and define the default sort
order, which would allow the files to appear in whatever order one
wanted, without having to rename the files.

I often choose a different order after looking at the album anyway.

It would seem that the album server software has developed a bug.

Billy,

Speaking of bugs, IIRC in the past when you would click on Member List a
string of letters used to appear and you could click on it and it would take
you to the first listing with that letter.

I was searching for some photos the other day and noticed that it is gone.

This could be "operator error!" ;-)

OK, I took the hint and sorted about the 1st 1/2 of my albums on filename,
which should be the order in intended. I'll check again in a few minutes &
see if they're still sorted. :-)

I didn't get any errors.

It seems the script behaves differently each time it's upgraded. I do not
understand the "divide by 0" error. I tried that method with good results.
One thing about that is if you do sort it, then the visitors cannot sort
them differently to suit themselves. No problem, just FYI.

The creators of the script call these "enhancements" rather than "bugs".

Not operator error. This feature seems to be missing also.

Sorry

Billy,

Speaking of bugs, IIRC in the past when you would click on Member List a
string of letters used to appear and you could click on it and it would take
you to the first listing with that letter.

I was searching for some photos the other day and noticed that it is gone.

This could be "operator error!" ;-)

Yes, that is my intent. Most of my pictures (and Ken's, too) tell a
story, and depend on the order for the captions and descriptions to
make sense.

Ken, when you reorder based on filename, you are only changing the way
they are ordered during that session, as I understand it, not the way
it will be ordered for anyone else's session. The default sort order
seems to be by file name, so viewers who haven't changed that will see
the order as you intend. If you want to fix the order permanently,
then click "my albums" after logging in (upper left corner), then
click "Sort photos" over to the right of the album in question. Then,
you can change the "position" number under each thumbnail to establish
the order you want. The system will only show 24 pictures at a time,
so sorting albums with more than 24 pictures requires some thinking,
but if they are already sorted correctly based on file name, it's just
a matter of dropping sequential numbers into those "position" boxes to
fix that order for all viewers.

Billy--I tried it today and it seems to be working fine as usual. I
was having issues yesterday, though, so that may have affected the way
the scripts were running on my machine.

The script was updated this morning around 09:30CST. I hope this fixed some
of these issues. I do know that the alphabetical listing is available
again.
