Ken,

To answer your question; probably one of the ones that cause Jim B to go on
a rant!

SMILE Jim!

"Has $5,000 worth of wheels, Alcoa aluminum, and the best radial tire"

$320 x 7 = $2240

$5000 - $2240 = $2760

$2760 / 7 = $394 per tire!

I wonder what brand they are?

"Goes through sand, Army used them as a command post."

Does anyone know if this is true or is this seller think Stripes was a
documentary? ;-)

Air Force used modified Transmodes as down range command/radio vehicles at Eglin Air Force Base. The Space guys have a bunch (undefined number, because I don't know.). I'm sure that the other services have used them. The one that I saw was a "Wolf" conversion with a great number of 19" radio racks floor to ceiling. Radios were removed, so I don't know what was where. It also had a very heavy duty roof rack, with a solid flat floor installed on top. Two generators, no propane. And, no bath unit. It was painted AF blue with a white mid-line stripe.

I'd stay away from sand with a GMC, unless thats where I wanted to be stuck for a while.
