Would any of you kind sols out there in gmc land have restored your gmc and still have the original rear bed arranagement available?id like to piece together mine in as much as original oem as possible.i may consider the shipping cost if not to far.or may be willing to pick up or meet.I may be attending the rally in Santa Rosa in March.I think it would be nice to show how it looked when it left the factory vrs a full restore gmc.

Don,
With your Side Bath Birchaven, (23foot by Coachman) it might be hard to find the original Coachman parts. (They did not make very many SB Birch's and I THINK the fabric changed over the 3 years.) You might be able to find something close and recover it. It is possible that something from another year and model will fit. How big is your space?

Hi Mike,
Not sure the measurments
ill have to take some and get back to you?
do you think having that floor plan(rare)makes it anymore valauble?or just harder to find ?
Ive also heard someone ment that 76 or later tend to hold there values aswell?

Probably not, only more saleable if someone wants that floor plan

All values are in the dumpster. Restore it the way you want because that is what YOU prefer and pleases you the most. I believe the newer the year, the more desireable due to the improvements and corrections of earlier problems
The Coachmen interiors used a different fabric pattern each year. see this link for 1976 Birchaven:

More trivia:
Generally well known are the 2 Birchaven floor plans. Not as well known is a third floor plan that switches the position of the dinette with the couch.
