Is California still attached to the continent or is it floating away?

You and the rest of the US just wish we were floating away!! But
unfortunately for you all, we are still here. However, the area's largest shopping
mall is closed indefinitely and several of the taller nonreinforced masonry
buildings are causing roadways to be blocked off as damage inspections are
still underway.
Hope to see everyone at Quartzsite.
