Clear.com WIMAX entered San Antonio, TX market in December 2009. Their current promotion is: Home+Mobile $55 per month for life. They are also offering an online exclusive: The Samsung NC10 Netbook MSRP $449, Instant Rebate $250, Your price $199 requires a 2 year service contract and has embedded 4G WIMAX. www.clear.com

Their service area map in pretty skimpy.

What are others experiencing?

I expect that 4G is coming, but for now, I can only say that 3G from Verizon works very well for me. $60 a month though. I have an older contract with true unlimited service. Current ones have a 5 gb/month limit on their "unlimited" service.

I use mine a lot, but the most I have ever used is 4.2 gb in a month. My system is on 24/7 and connected to a wifi router when at home, and I plug it directly into my computer USB port when traveling. Dan Gregg and I have had very similar experience and are both happy. Dan and Teri use theirs in the GMC while on the road. Teri drives, Dan surfs, or Dan drives, Teri surfs. I am glad someone sees the road.
