That is a screamin' deal but I'll bet it is a typo. I've never seen that
system for less than 900.00. Retail is about 1300.00 . Go for it an see what
happens.

Thanks

Well if you read the specs and that there arent anyreveiws
it might just be a new productline to appeal to use cheapscape.
the most i ever paid for a sat ant is 119 for the fold up table top
one.but 90 bucks for shipping yikes.

I just went to the Camping World website and found

that satellite antenna. Look by price: $250-500.

Problem is you need a 3 or 5 LNB to get HD. This thing is obsolete, that's why its so cheap. Get a good surveyor tripod with an offset mount, a Birdog meter and a 5 LNB dish you are all set for all channels and HD! Directv will even give you the dish and coax. Forget those obsolete domes unless they can get all satelites for HD and forget about having to park out in the open.

That is a very good price on an old unit. My guess is they are closing it out. It is a monster to have on a GMC but I have seen them. Those units were going for 750 last year if you knew where to look. I suspect that there is going to be a big price reduction on the newer flat panels soon. Just my opinion. Last I looked the best price I found was 2 grand on flat panel. I paid 200 for my roof top crank up which I love. I would have mine over the one advertized any day as I can find the bird faster than the automatic one does. I have the one with elevation meter inside. Makes no work easier.
That is a good price!

I have to laugh but I am sorry. Wonder how many on here grabbed one. If it is any consolation, I know folks not happy with that model. It seems to lose its ability to lock on satellites. But, I also know some that have never had a problem. Hope they work for those that cleaned out the store.

I failed to notate the (limited quantitys) on the add.if i had noticed that i would have ordered one then made it available.perhaps they may have some in the store nearest me or on back order.it dident look as a close out one shot deal at the time.

it also took me awhile to justify the price but i was sort of thinking i would go pick it up in person to save on the shipping.ok ok whos got my dish lol.i should get a finders fee hehe.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Pardon my questing....

But what is the difference in the multi LNB for home HD and what you are talking about?

The home HD dishes with MULTI LNB are very hard to aim. You have to aim each LNB INDIVIDUALLY to get all the channels for HD. IT TAKES HOURS!

The Regular DTV single LNB dishes are as simple as it gets.

Have you received HD and all the channels on the road with no difficulty locking in all the satelites?

What brand do you have?

Thanks

LarC ( Knows someone who had the HD dish installed who said to took the installer a long time to aim each LNB to get 'Moderate' not great signals )

If you're like me, the realy bottom line is that once I start watching
something I'm interested in, the definition just doesn't make a hoot
of difference because I don't notice it. Great for bragging rights,
and might even be great for sporting events, but after the initial few
seconds, I just don't notice or care. The simpler the better ASFAIAC!

I am with Steve, simpler is better, for me while on the road. I have installed several of the units with 2 and 3 lnbs. I hate messing with them. I could never get one working at Eastern States last year for Doc. It might have been my attitude though, I hate messing with the things. The single lnb is great if you have Direct on a GMC. 30 seconds is about all it takes to relocate a satellite when we set up in the GMC, with the manual unit on the roof. I used to install the 10 foot dishes and I could get those tracking faster than I can locat 3 birds in the sky on ku band. I know it is my attitude about the thing though.
Get what works for you and I will come over and watch your HD when we are close by. Very Happy I am waiting for the flat panels to fall in price. Then I can watch tv, surf the internet, and talk on the phone while rolling down I-10 in my GMC.
That was still a good price on an obsolete unit, just BIG for a GMC.

I dunno about this. I converted to a 5 LNB dish, assembled it per
instructions, set the az, el and twist and had
it aligned in 20 minutes (easier than my 3 LNB). Did not have to touch
the individual LNB's. Have done
this 3 times, with the same results.

need help here...............I know camshafts and carburetors, but can barely get by on modern day TV.....we had direct TV with an HD receiver for the big flatscreen in the den and three regular-(non HD)-receivers in other locations......I took the receiver-(non HD)-out of the treehouse bought, a small flatscreen for the gmc, bought a wineguard RD-9046 stationary satellite from camping world, easily dialed in, and worked great...........

came home one day and the wife had switched over to DISH network and now we have four HD receivers.........not knowing any better, I went out to the gmc with the receiver(now HD) from the treehouse, my same winegueard satellite and now have no TV in the gmc thanks to my wife's changeover........someone please advise me on how to rectify this.........call DISH and get a non HD receiver to use in the treehouse and the gmc or which satellite antennae would be correct for my application??? I am not interested in viewing while traveling, just when camping...........thanks
