Can anyone tell my friend what he has on his dash. Between the to large
original
dash gages there is something that has been added by the PO. Friend has not
tracked the wires but did remove the item from the dash and ther3e is a
place
in it for a light bulb.

He also needs a freezer door for a dometic RM3663 refrigerator.
He thinks any Dometic door will fit, Have not check with Michael yet.
Charles

Many people have a volt meter there, but seems like it would be obvious from the front side.

Charles,
That is OE. It is the module for the low fuel warning. In some other GM vehicles of the period, it was mounted behind the fuel gage and had the indicator bulb installed.

My guess would be some sort of an alarm sounder/buzzer.

Makes sense Matt. How is that module mounted there? Mine is just dangling by the wires like a lot of stuff appears to be.

Bob,
He says there is a hole there that the piece snaps into.
He is now looking for a flash light to see if light shines
through the dash in that area. Still has not trace wires.
He cut off a couple fingers about a month ago and
is having a little trouble working one handed.
If we confirm it is a fuel warning light I will post it to
the list. Thanks foreverone's replies.

It is the OE low fuel module. It does snap into the hole. There is no lens or opening to let light through to the dash. It lights up the low fuel light in the alarm light panel. In our use it does not have a bulb installed in the module.

Actually it is a buzzer. It activates when you put the gear into drive and for any other alarm in the system
