Chris,
Actually the $500 to $600 range is on the low end of pricing of furnaces out
there today. The only way that you will find them at a lessor cost is if
you visit the RV surplus places around Elkhart, IN. For you that will be
very difficult, but maybe someone out there near Elkhart might be able to
help. Last year I bought a Suburban SF-35 new in the box with all the
fittings for $300 as did several fellow GMCers when we made our annual visit
to surplus places. Have you looked on Ebay, sometimes you can run across a
deal. Whoops, I just looked and their pricing is not any better at this
time. You kind of have to be in the right place and the right time.

Chris,
There is an RV surplus outfit (bigun) right next to Rice Ranch where
most of the GMCers will be at Quartszite. Lots of neat stuff and
bargain prices.

Chri$,
One of the newest members of the Saguaro Jetset, Jeff Skinner, has a web based RV appliance parts business and might be able to get you a good deal on a furnace. His website is:
www.rvpartsnow.com
Shoot him an e-=mail, maybe he can help. I'm sure he would appreciate any business he might get from other members of this forum as well.
