Scott Rigney has relisted the coach he offered for sale on eBay

about a week ago. It shows as being located in Pall Mall, TN.

# 270505457025

Is any member of this list familiar with the coach? It looks quite

nice, but small, low-resolution pics can hide LOTS of flaws.

Is there anybody who does inspections/surveys of these coaches?

Something along the lines of a marine surveyor who can be trusted.

Intersting screen door. I am not interested in the coach but would like to see more pictures of the door!

Hope the link works:

Isn't that interesting?! A bifold door like that is such an obvious
solution, yet I've never seen it done before! That one appears to be
very nicely done with a nice casing on the opening side and a valence
over the overhead track. It probably narrows the effective door
opening by 2"-3", but that would be too bad.

Thanks for pointing out that feature; I'd missed it.

I have a bi-fold screen door in my storage building.
I will try to get you some detail pictures of it tomorrow
if I can remember. You might email me in the morning
and remind me. When I take them I will post them on
the picture site for anyone else that might be interested.
If you try to remind me send it direct. I may not see it
on the mailing list. Be sure GMCnet is not in the subject line.
Charles

Ken,

I think I saw that coach a few years ago at an International rally. If it is the same one, the screen door and the casings around it were beautifully done. The wood work was done using walnut wood. The rest of the coach was also well done. The screen was set back from the door frame about 6 inches.

Gene,

I may have seen it also; I remember one all fitted in walnut --
including VERY fancy cabinets with turned newel posts around them,
etc. But I remembered that one as having a custom sliding door. CRS
could prove me wrong.

I'm liking the idea of the folding screen door too. Seems to me it would be easy to take off an stow if not needed.

I think you're right, Bruce. If the top hinge pin was spring loaded,
it could be a simple matter of pulling a handle down, tilting the
door, and lifting it out. Someone should contact a screen door
manufacturer; with access to their frame extrusions it would be easy
to fabricate a bifold. We have a local screen manufacturer but I
don't think they do doors; window frame material would be too flimsy.

In one of the pictures of the top pin I show the retracting lever
that retracks the top pin. Like Ken said, simple install and removal.

Darn! Here I though I'd had an original idea, after having missed
that! (I probably registered it subconsciously.)
