John,

I was able to copy and paste the Dick Miller article so I don't need that
one.

I appreciate you scanning the articles and sending them to me at your
leisure, I won't be reassembling the engine until next summer some time.

I've looked at the Caddy 500's that Bob Miller, Bill Bramlet, Larry Wiedner,
and Gary Kosier have in their GMC's and believe that it is by far the
easiest and most cost effective swap for a GMC for improved performance.
Hook it up to a switch pitch trans and a 3.21 to 1 final drive and you're on
a real winner.

Rob,

I will have to scan them in and send them that way. I just have the articles
cut out of magazines. You do have the 2008 article out of hotrod copied??

I have been looking at building a Cadillac for a long time and I believe
that it is a very good options for the coach.

Give me a little time and I will see what I can do.

John

Rob,

I would put that copy of the Dick Miller article in the fiction
of your
library. It contains so many bogus statements that it has no
creditability.
Anything that John Wright can't come up with, I can probably help
out on.
I'm not very good with a computer, so I copy stuff and save it.
I am
also sitting on a basement full of the original magazines. I
seem to
collect information and parts better than I achieve results. LOL

Gary,

I appreciate your advice and frankly I don't take any one source as gospel.
I'm trying to get my hands on as much information regarding Caddy 500's as
possible and read it.

The Caddy 500 I am building to run on Autogas here in Australia has had all
of the machine work done already and I got all the parts I need for it from
Potter Automotive. After a local machine shop screwed up the heads (not
their fault entirely) Jerry also put together a pair 76cc heads with
stellite exhaust valve seats and "extreme duty" stainless steel valves.

When I visited Jerry's shop in Soddy-Daisy (I love the name of that town!)
he had a number of Caddies in various stages of assembly and he began to
show me all the "tricks." I thanked him and noted that I would probably
forget everything he told me within a few hours (if that long) and asked if
I could call him as I assemble the engine. I noted that I would call him and
tell him what I planned to do that day and he would walk me through it and
give me his tips. He said he'd be happy to!

As I assemble the Caddy I will send emails to the GMC net for tips also.

Hmmmm, an engine built by a committee! Sounds like a government project! ;-)

All the best,
Rob Mueller
