When I went to check the oil in my Onab generator this morning, I was unable to get the generator to slide out far enough to get to the dip stick and filler cap. I sense that the normal stops on the slide are preventing me from moving it out any further. Is there a release somewhere that I am failing to see or is there some other way to get to the filler cap and dip stick?

Bob,
Other than the snap locks and the release handle on the front that's
all there is. You probably could benefit from lubricating the
slides. It is possible that the flexible wiring behind the unit is
caught on something. You cannot get to the oil filler/dipstick cap
without sliding the unit out.

Thanks, J.R. I'm always afraid to use the BIG hammer anymore as I've broken just too many things. So, I took your advice and just pulled a little harder on the assembly. It came out all the way and I was able to check the oil and clean and lubricate the slide mechanisms, Thanks again.
