Thanks to all the well-wishes. Yes, the second PO reportedly put about $30K into it. I got it (stole it) for $12k. The PO needed to sell it, so I got the benefit of his distress.

I am really glad you rescued this baby, It was sitting so forlorn in that
carport and they bought a "airstream" instead ---- not nice

I was sure there was not much wrong with it, they just lost confidence.....

I don't understand the licensing problem, and , and, you should be able to
get an antique license plate for it . I did
