I'm a little late jumping in here, but if you go to a man's mall and get a fuel pump from pretty much any german car since the 80's it will have an external fuel pump with a strap and shock mounts. Should be easy to adapt.

More like the 9376K3x above there -- I'm not addicted to SS like Manny.

And to answer Larry: Carrying a load as light as the fuel pump I might hang
a load from them but they're really not designed for tension loads, only
compressive. If I hung a fuel pump, I'd provide some sort of safety strap,
just in case.
