Yes, I did it. Filled the oil reservoir and forgot to put the cap back on. It's somewhere between here and Philly now. Does anyone have a spare to fit my 455? Thanks

Should be available at most any auto parts store;
NAPA, Advance, O'Reilly's, AutoZone, PepBoys, etc.

If you go to a junk yard, you can get a cap off a 60's or 70's Pontiac V8
valve cover.

Not any help right now, but I used a piece of wire as a lanyard. When it is attached I have a hard time loosing it... Just like my head! Rolling Eyes

Thanks for the assistance. I didn't know the cap would be so easy to find. Bought one at AutoZone for $5.99 plus tax. Its on the GMC and seems to like its new home.
