G'day,

The Blue Streak has a Harrison Four Bag system fitted to it and even though
the comments and testimony support the Quadra-Bag systems superiority I just
can't see spending over $2000 to replace it. Keep in mind that I have to pay
shipping, duty, and GST on items from the USA.

I have been in touch with a GMCer that repaired / beefed up his Harrison
system by welding additional stand offs between the two plates that support
the bags and noted it did not bend the next time he had a flat and ran on
one rear wheel.

Has anyone else done this?

Regards,
Rob Mueller

You might contact Blaine Merrell off net. I know he had one of his coaches that he was going to do this to a couple of years ago.

This is part of what Jim B posted earlier in the thread 2/4 Bag
Installation

The Q bag system was created basicallt because we had found the other
system out had issues. Nelson had been talking with me about doing a
fix for the other system. I feel it would be a very important refit
and I feel we will have that upgrade soon. Steve was the one who
convinced me something like that would be needed.

I feel bad that the early system has shown itself to be weak after I
had installed so many of them, it's too bad those problems were not
addressed before this. I want to help everyone who has that system,
this is why I think a fix for it is really needed

Tim,

Thanks, I read that.

I started this thread to see if anyone had come up with a fix.

Rob,
Just tie the two uprights together and double the strength. I would
take it a step farther than just a spreader bolt though.

That is going to be an easy fix sure glad it wasn't some thing that
would require the removal of the unit.

Thanks Steve.
