A couple of months ago, someone posted a link to a computer controlled
ignition system
from the magazine (e-zine) Everyday Practical Electronics. The magazine
interested me
enough to subscribe. In the December issuse, there are 2 projects
relevant to the greater
GMC community.

The first is for a circuit board to interface between a knock sensor and
the ignition module
(or fuel injection computer).

The other is for a 3D printer (like the one that Leno has) that we all
drooled over. The
difference is that this one is a kit and can be (alledgely) built for
about $1500-160.
It is called the Rapman (reprap.org). Kits and parts are available from:
http://store.makerbot.com/cupcake-cnc/cupcake-cnc-basic.html
http://www.bitsfrombytes.com/
The machines use rolls of wire-like plastic.

There is FREE software to use to create 3D items.
