We tow an enclosed trailer with two Harleys. The lightest we could find
locally is a 7' x 10' single axle, it weighs 1500 lbs. We carry the bikes
staggered to fit the trailer. With a tool box, spare tire etc. the total
weight is 3000#. It tows fine and the trailer brakes help. We go over the
Sierras a lot so we installed a 3:55 final drive. We get a lot of bounce in
the trailer so if I were to do it over; I wouldn't worry about the weight of
the trailer as much and buy an 8' X 12' two axle trailer for less bounce and
less tongue weight. I'll sell my fully equipped trailer if anyone's
interested.
