This supplier is in Indianapolis, Indiana and I have purchased stuff from them before. I think I might run up there Monday and get a train horn. I will report back on what I think.

140 DB rating is good. most of these are around 118DB. i need one of these if they are any good.

I hate to break it to you but those are not real "train horns" those are horns which sound similar to a train horn but do not match the volume or output that real train horns can.

examples of real train horns are Nathan Airchime K5LA, P5, K3HA and K3LA, and the chimes made by Leslie such as the ST-5 and A-200, though i perfer the sound of Nathans over the Leslies, the ST-5 has a nice ring to it...

well considering I have a real Nathan K3HA on my coach, I can tell you there is no comparison to the modified "Truck horns" marketed as "train horns" to the less knowledgeable. Airchimes are expensive yes, but if you want a true train sound and volume, accept no substitute! if you are just looking for a louder then stock car horn fro your rig to help on highways, then the other kits are also ok...

Is it even legal to have a train air chime on a motor vehicle? I once heard that truck horns are illegal on cars... Anything would be better than the Oldsmobile horn we currently have.

Jim I noticed you left me a comment on my youtube video, I will be adding a thread here shortly with pictures and some more video tests. sowing how I did it, currently I am suing the stock airtank that my GMC came with, its small and I will be adding a 5 gal firestone soon. the compressor which fills my GMC is an Air Zenith which fills the tank fairly quickly, I will have more on that later...

I know it can get pretty expensive but what the hell - my wife says "go for
