My commuting and work vehicle for the last 15 years has been a 94 jeep wrangler. Weighs about 3500, don't know it is there. It will also do any thing and go any where. I towed a 5x8 U-Haul from Texas with it when I was coming back and forth to work on this old house in Montana. I pulled off and took a side trip up the side of a mountain on a dirt road off the Chief  Joseph memorial  parkway in Wyoming. (not when I was pulling the trailer) My wife towed it behind her Chrysler minivan to Montana as I drove the big truck.

You can get something lighter but this does it all. When I get ready to kick, my wife will dig a big hole for me to drive off into and I will just lean back and enjoy the last trip.
