Rob, those look like the Mr. Gasket copper gaskets. They may not work
properly for our manifolds. In my case, the gaskets didn't reach to
the bottom of the port on the manifold and the embossed seal was out
in the air.

They reportedly work fine for the Thorley headers, however.

Dave Lenzi makes and sells copper gaskets that fit our manifolds.

Rick,

THANKS!

I forwarded this to Mark and Peter and asked them if they'd like a set too!
Sure glad I did that as I haven't ordered them yet!

I note that the ad gives the port dimensions of 1.55w x 1.92h does anyone
have an exhaust manifold or pair of heads to check this against. I'd like to
send the seller an email informing him that they don't work on a 455 and
wouldn't want to do so without providing the actual measurements of the
ports.

I went to Summit Racing and found these:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FPP-1439/

Port Height (in) 1.950 in.
Port Width (in) 1.560 in.

Wonder why Mr. Gasket is selling gaskets that don't fit!

Rob I have a set of J and Ga heads here and the ex ports are 1.850 X 1.360 on both of them. Kinda rough cast edges but but that's what I get.

They do fit for many applications of the 455, just not ours, unless we
are using the Doug Thorley headers, in which case they do fit. The
motorhome/Toro app might be the odd man out.
