I have had a Pd9245 sitting here for some time. I would like to get it installed.

The buzzbox in my coach has a 90 degree plug and the PD0245 does not. It is clear to me that the door to the electrical cabinet will not close with the straight plug on the PD9245 plugged into the outlet, as the outlet is much too close to the cabinet door.

What is the easiest way to deal with this problem?

Due to the short length of romex from the breaker box to the outlet/switch box, and the way the outlet box is riveted to the breaker box, I would prefer not having to relocate the outlet.

Explore changing out the straight plug for a 90 degree plug, by either replacing the plug end or the entire cord. If you replace the entire cord, make sure that you use a proper sized wire set, and watch the color code.
This is probably the easiest way to do it.

I have purchased a short cords called a "Flat Plug" for tight places over the years. Try a hardware or electrical outlet

I found a triple tap that just fits with the door closed, and I just plug the PD Inverter into the side outlet. I was very tempted to just change out the plug however. If you do, be sure to measure the total depth to be sure things will fit.

I have seen right angle 120 volt plugs at Menards. Replace the plug.

Changing the plug might void the warranty. I rotated my outlet box so that the outlet is facing forward instead of toward the cabinet door. I don't think that it required any any wiring changes.

DW found a 8' long extension cord with a right angle plug at Lowe's for ~$5. Rated for 13 amps. The PD9245 says 725 watts input, that is under 7 amps. I think this will work, and will not require changing plugs (voiding warranty?) or rotating the outlet box.

I found shorter cords online, but by the time I paid shipping, I figure they would end up more expensive. 8' is short enough.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
