Looking for information on "how to" remove the buzz box. Searched and could not find anything. What do I need to look out for?
I should get my new PD9245 today with the remote pendant.

What is the best place to install the 9245?

I've installed mine in the electrical closet across from the bathroom. I have a Palm Beach 26-3 layout. It's the cubby above the compressor.

My red wire went to the house fuse panel and the white and green were attached to a lug on the body frame. It fit nicely next to the auxillary outlet in the cubby.

It does fit just fine in the area of the old buzzbox, and seems to work wonderfully!

I had to unscrew the panel holding the 120v breakerbox and water heater switch to get my old buzzbox unbolted, but the installation went easily after that. Just be sure to connect the green ground wire from the new converter to the aluminum framework of the coach to get a good grounding point.

I also used the opportunity to replace the old 12 volt fusebox with a newer one that used the blade type fuses and had some extra terminals available for adding additional circuits for newer electronics if needed in the future. I mounted that panel on the same platform that hold the new converter, so I can see the fuses much easier than trying to get a good angle on the original location (in my 75 Palm Beach).

Good luck with your project!

My buzz is located behind the Kitchen sink, on the wall. It has a ground to the Frame, a Positive lead to a nearby solenoid and a rather small Positive from that solenoid to what looks like goes to another solenoid in the rear battery box.

Here is how I did my older 9145, but same deal.

I also grounded mine to the frame. Mine is where the old buzz box was and I reached about 75 feet into the back recesses of the cubby and managed to drill into an aluminum brace running back there. For all my hopes of it being an easy drill, this part took longer than any of the other.

I cut the wires right as they went into the buzz box and used them as they were already screwed down to the "grid".

That looks like my install as well. I didn't want to be scaring anyone off from the grounding of the inverter, but I also found that reaching back to get that ground attached to the framework was the nastiest part. I was almost thinking of removing the stove so I would get a better angle to find a ground point.

I could reach it from inside the cubby, but I couldn't do much. I
could reach it from the outside cord storage but I couldn't see much.

A little like Hellen Keller I foud a way to get it done. It would have
been easier with two people.

I do not have the problem of getting to any of the area as I have removed (gutted) the Kitchen area, all cabinets, seats etc. The Buzz Box was attached to the Horizontal Frame Rail of the Coach right behind where the Stove used to be. I am using the existing ground which was used for the Buzz and mounting the 9245 on the floor. I only need to makeup a new Positive feed as the old one is too short. Should get it finished in the ayem.

I am really missing the camera steps, need to slow down and take some pictures but once I start something it is difficult for me to stop and take them.
