OK I am tired of pulling that looooong thing called a dipstick out, then trying to feed it back in to read the oil level.
Will a dipstick & tube from a 455 Toro work & read properly in my 23'. I don't mind flippin the lid up to check the oil as I check under there anyways.

I just looked at my Revcon (unmodified Toro) and the 74 GMC. On the Revcon, the hatch is wider and the stock dipstick angles to the left a bit. It will be annoying navigating it out of the opening on the GMC (i think)
Might be just as easy to modify the existing dipstick and tube. THe one i'm looking at is coupled about 6" up.
Let me know if pictures would help.

You might want to just build a new dipstick. I have seen speedometer cable used. I bought some stainless wire rope at TSC that I intend to use.

I have the short toro dipstick on my coach and hate it. It angles to the
side in such a way that I have to bend the dipstick to remove or install it,
causing it to bind in the tube. Yes I could re-align the tube, but I am
fussy about knowing my oil levels and like the idea that I can check it
quickly while pumping gas. Having to open the hatch is a nuisance for me.

I have an unmodified 455 from a Revcon in my GMC. I have the Revcon dipstick. It is a pain to remove and replace the dipstick. Tried to replace the dipstick with the stock GMC motorhome dipstick, but the end into the block that Revcon used and the block end from The GMC dipstick are two different diameters. Does not make sense, but so it is.
Good Luck,
