My coach still has the buzz box. Reading many threads I see that there is a lot of concern about these devices.
Where can I read up on this and what are the recommended solutions/replacements.

Another project. The list grows

Geez Louise! I wish I had read that before. I have had my coach on Shore Power for almost two months and the "Buzz Box" has been on all that time. I have been running the refrig but if what I read is correct all of the time then my Trojans are probably dry by now. I will be checking them today.
I have just now turned off the Buzz Box and will leave it off for now.
Thanks you so much for the info.

As best I can see, the Batteries are fine, still full of water and reading 13.5v after having turned off the Buzz Box for about an hour.
Found the PD9245 converter for $130.00, so I will get it right away.

Gene / Richard,

I installed a PD-9260 in my Avion (Double Trouble) because it was not as
"tall" as a PD-9245 (3.6" vs 4.5") which allowed me to sit it on top of the
fender well under a shelf in the bathroom right next to the A/C circuit
breaker panel and DC fuse block.

I just checked eBay again and there are the following units listed from
rvsupply:

PD9245 = 170370290045 @ $119.98

PD9260 = 160354671273 @ $158.99

They do not list the remote status monitoring pendant.

I suspect that the refrig being on may have pulled down the buzz box output enough to keep the batteries from overcharging. Just speculation on my part.
