Rob, you posted:

Ken,

OK so the test procedure should be:

1) take the one of the GMC's equipped with rear disk brakes and the
reaction
arm system; run it up to various speeds and slam on the brakes and
measure
the stopping distance.

2) take the same coach and remove all the reaction arms and do the same
thing.

3) take a standard coach with drum brakes and do the same thing,

That sound right to you?

Gentlemen: As I have stated many times on this GMC net, and at the 3
seminars I have presented on this subject, all of the above testing
has been done along with a lot more, data has been recorded and live
video of most of the testing has been taken. This testing was done
by Rick Falanagan and all was witnessed by myself and Jim K., all
three of us being experienced engineers in industry. I have spent
thousands of dollars and thousands of hours coming up the the final
design that I ended up testing on my coach. I didn't keep track of
all the various concepts I developed, but I'm sure there were over
two dozen before I was satisfied with my design. Many of you folks
that have worked with engineers in industry know that if an engineer
does not have a fixed "off board" date to meet, they will never
complete a design. As you progress with a design, you keep thinking
of better ways of doing it, so you are constantly refining your
design, There is nothing that has ever been designed and
manufactured that can't be improved.

The improvement in braking capability you get with my reaction bar
system is something any mechanical engineer can easily calculate if
he hasn't forgotten what he learned in his working years. If people
don't want to believe what myself, Jim K. and Rick Flanagan have been
saying about how a major design flaw in Our GMCs, that has more
affect on their safety then any other thing related to GMCs, can be
easily be corrected by a proven modification, then that is their
problem and there isn't much more we can do. One can only try to help
people so much.
