We use a bacterial product called "Always Fresh" It works wonderfully
well.
We don't rinse the tank, and don't completely empty it each time. The
Always Fresh keeps on working. Don't usually need to add more after
dumping. I did once dump on 2 consecutive days, and needed to add
another scoop. Odor went away after another day.
Phred Tinseth mentions a couple of other preparations in his "Poop sheet"
on macerators. See Phrannie reference below.
