To answer your question, I'm from Ontario and purchased a new tank about 15 years ago. I don't know of a source in Canada. I bought mine from Applied (gmcrvparts.com). Cinnibar also has them.
Ardemco is a manufacturer that makes tanks for the GMC. I believe they are in California, so might be the best bet for you in BC as far as shipping.
