Ever read about Boondockers Welcome and Wonder??
We have been hosts almost since the beginning and I have gotten to meet quite a few really neat people.
The GMC coaches were designed to be self-contained travelers. Many of us take advantage of this fact.
If you are used to traveling this way and would like quieter places than Walmart or "rest areas" take the time to look up Boondockers Welcome.
While all that is promised is a quiet flat place, many hosts have more to offer.
If you get through reading about it and wondering why some of us - Like Carl Stouffer - do this, ask me.
The membership is really cheap and I may be able to help you on that.

We just got home this afternoon from a 5385 mile cross country trip and used Boondockers Welcome/Harvest hosts locations to overnight 12 nights (7 eastbound and 5 westbound). We gave most of them a five star review with only a few getting demerits for access, etc. Overall they were really nice places to stay and they saved us a TON of money. The savings over the course of this one trip more than paid for the fees.

Have a favorite Boondocker's stop 303 miles from our house. Perfect distance for our trips into Florida with the GMC Sunshine Statesmen.
Water and electric for a $5 donation.
Definitely worth looking into.
