The rear bearing retaining clip is missing on my Onan, allowing the bearing shell to spin in the housing. It's an aftermarket bearing that doesn't even have the slot for the clip to fit in. I have an Onan replacement bearing, but the clip runs from $177 to $440USD!!!

From my readings, the bearing needs to slide in-out of the rear housing to allow for expansion from heat so it can't be fixed in place.

Has anyone made up a clip? I'm looking for ideas.
