Friend brought round a new Sure Power 24023A isolator and said I could have it if I could use it. Not sure if I need such a thing? - it's a lot heftier that my present isolator but a lot larger as well.

Any benefit to replacing the OEM style unit with something like this? Specs are 6-50 volts and alternator max 240 amps.
