Hi I am looking for some information on the set up I picked up. I got it used so I do not know much about it. The ECM has a hand written number on it AO58 adx. it has a black box that plugs in to the ALDL. it has 2 led lights,4 dip switches and a serial port. The ECM has a prom installed but no other modifications to it. All I could make out on the prom is 455. Will I need a serial to USB converter or just use the serial port on my laptop? the kit I got has a Holly TBI unit with 2 pin terminal connectors on the injectors, not round tops. It has a high pressure (Walbro)fuel pump. When checking data should I use my scan tool or some thing else? Just trying to find out what I have and how to use it. Thank you for any and all help.

Doesn't sound like the DynamicEFI EBL system. Their system is delivered with a generic prom that is then modified and flashed by the user via software so the prom would not have a sticker identifying it being for a particular engine. This sounds like a dedicated prom flashed by the supplier at the factory with a prom flasher.

EBL does not have a Prom chip, just an Embedded Locker circuit.
That can be modified at any time.
We provide them ready to go, turn key.

FWIW, the stock GM ECM has a PROM. Aftermarket systems that provide custom 455 chip like yours are PROMs. DynamicEFI's EBL system have a PROM. They are different types of Programmable Read Only Memory (PROMs) installed in the GM ECM, but they are PROMs. The EBL Prom is installed on a DynamicEFI daughterboard.

Your system that has a custom 455 chip and is marked with "AO58 adx" is readable by TunerPro RT, but it is not an EBL system. You can ship your ECM to DynamicEFI and they will convert it to the EBL system which allows flashing a new program while underway - among many other features; see https://groups.google.com/g/gmcmh-efi for lots more info on the EBL system from GMCMH owners.
