For those that have awnings...what are you using to protect the awning from the door when opening/closing?

My P.O. just screwed a small straight caster with a plastic wheel to the outside of the door. Not elegant, but it works fine and we don't even see it anymore.

A more complicated solution that we use, is a hand made device made from PVC that hooks to the drip edge on both sides of the door, and pushes up on the awning over where the door swings. We only use it because we also have the screen door so it keeps it out of the way for both. If interested I can post pics.

You should use the roller and a wedge as when one lowers the awning, it
will still touch the door.
We provide both, go to our web site.
