Accidentally caught shirt on strip just back of door.
What sort of goo to use to put it back on that so
I can remove that strip later if I wish (for some
unknown reason)?

Double tape will hold it, get a strong one designed for exterior though

Thanks to all who have answered my query.
I have filed them all and will investigate when
I return from a trip to see my youngest
grandson get married in the Albuquerque area.
