Howdy neighbor and Happy Birthday . . .
Even with our medical issues I don't think this year can possibly be
worse than 2020.

Jim,
I didn't know it was your birthday -- you still trying to catch up with
me? Good luck!
Hope it's a great day, followed by MANY more.

Well, my day was kinda uneventful. Had a blood test to check my blood
thinners at a INR Clinic at Salem Hospital at 8:10 A. M., followed by
another blood test at my Oncologist's walk in and wait lab for a Hemoglobin
test. That killed the best part of the morning, got back home about 10: 00
A.M. took my morning meds with a rousing cup of brown water (a.k.a. Decaf
coffee), followed by an English muffin toasted with chunky peanut butter
and mixed berry jelly.
Followed by stirring the ashes in my new birthday present, a combo
fire pit and Grill. Assured that they were out, then putting a cover on it.
Rain was predicted, but did not materialize, so that was a wasted effort.
So, off to the U.P.S. store to ship a brake bleeder that I finished up on
Sunday. Followed that up with a trip to the Lumber Yard for 5 (five) each 8
foot 2 x 4's 8 feet long for a picnic bench project I was working on.
Clear Western Red Cedar. My cost only $158.00. Damn near dropped dead from
shock. HOLY COW! Lumber is expensive. Those are going to be some spendy
picnic benches. Finally home again. Day half shot.
Rest of the day kinda slipped away. Judy baked a lemon cake with lemon
frosting. Not enough room on the cake for 81 candles, so we left them off.
Had that for dessert with a scoop of vanilla bean Hagen-Das ice cream.
Turns out, that was the highlight of my day. (GMC content?) Shipped a brake
bleeder to an anxious owner who has been waiting for me to get well enough
to finish his up.
That's it from Salem.
