Good Sunday all,

I am working hard, but seem to be paddling up stream. A lot is getting done, but it doesn't seem to be moving as fast as I would like.

I received one of 2 quotes for the living area upholstery. The low number was for $7,000.00. The material is a polyurethane synthetic leather. It has all the qualities that we are looking for as far a comfort, cleanability, softness, UV and scuff resistance. This includes new foam padding and buttons on all seat backs.

The Birchaven consists of a dinette with arm rests (ends of the dinette seat), couch/bed and bunk bed.

The big question, Does the price of $7,000.00 seem to fall inline with current market pricing for the above job?

As always, thanks for any input.

Take care,
Tom

I bought the upholstery material from "New Toto" in Kansas. Close out stuff
but closely matched oem stuff. Then spent $3,000.00 with a shop in Keizer,
Oregon to redo everything. Came out great.. $7000.00 seems a bit high to me.

Seems high. Have them break out the cost and justify it. If they can, fine.

What I think is a reasonable example: vinyl 14 yards $600- 1200
Good foam about $400
Good batting $100
Incidentals $200
Labor 1500 to 2500
$2800 - $4400

Cheers

We have two small barrel chairs that swivel and tilt that we love. We were quoted $55 a yard for 4 yards for each, $400 labor each totaling $1240 to have both chairs done.
These are not straight cushions, but complicated, skirted, chairs. It's a lot of money, but nothing like 7K for straight, uncomplicated cushions. Just My Opinion...
