The plan right now is to do Canada Day in St John and then do Independence Day in Lubec, ME.

Pulling a hybrid trailer with a little family wagon (Ford Excursion). Fully self contained, don't need hookups.

I've googled all the usual stuff, Bay of Fundy, provincial parks, etc.

I would be grateful for any more interesting or unique suggestions.

Also, this trip will be June 26 to July 10, if anyone over the border needs something carried, i am starting near Norfolk, VA.

Well, it's mosquito season when you are going, but since I'm from there, I'll suggest a trek to Miscou Island which is about as far away from where you are as you can get in NB. There's a nice campground on the Bay of Chaleur called https://campinglavague.ca/fr/ You can fish for Striped Bass from the beach right there and it's also lobster season. You can visit the lighthouse, but mostly it's great if you're into birding or just walking on empty beaches. Maybe you'll find a whale bone or petrified wood.
There are a few places to boondock if you don't try asking permission and setup after "business hours". I can give details if you want to try it.

On the way you can stop in Shippegan and visit the aquarium. (assuming everything is open this summer and no 2 week quarantine, which is the case now)

I guess I should ask if you know about the 2 week quarantine upon entering NB?

Thanks for all that. I will get back to you with detailed questions we close in on it.

I have not looked at the restrictions. This plan is contingent on there not being any.

We already have the Maine portion booked. This was a more recent afterthought.

But the adults are both vaccinated.

THat is a possibility. If it were up to me i would just drive to the Arctic Circle.

But it's 17 hours from home to the region and people will be tired of driving.
