Anyone have 2 of these on their coach? How well do they work? Does the rear one clear your railing or did you have to modify the rail?
I dont want to buy 2 of these if they are junk and the rear one doesnt clear.

Rich,
You have to be taking a beating on pricing on these as they are just at $300 US, I can only guess what they are CN. I have a better suggestion that you can do for 2 fans for just over the price of one of the Maxxfans. This is the layout that I use and it is rainproof too! It clears the rear roof rail too.
The Fan:
Add this cover:
The more trick stuff that you get the harder it is to get parts and MaxxAir warrantee and parts ins’t what it used to be! Not to say that I don’t have some trick stuff on my coach, but I use the KISS principal, “keep it simple stupid”!

I installed a Maxxfan deluxe in the rear opening. I did have to bend the rear railing for the fan to clear. There are several different ladder and railings that were dealer installed, depending on how it was installed and which railing was used will depend on clearance of a Max fan. The fan itself is a good option, I replaced a Fantastic fan, it would be worth cutting the railing to install the Maxxfan

I've have a dual MaxxFan Deluxe setup and have owned Fantastic Fans in
the past.
I greatly prefer how the MaxxFans work - but I'm pretty sure the rail
was modified and they are hard to clean. I love that they pull down
almost flush when closed and can be left open for any kind of weather.
When running down the road - I'll usually have them both "exhausting"
and when stopped I'll quite often have one "pulling" and the other
"pushing".
In the old days (before being bought by Atwood?) - the FantasticFan
warranty was AMAZING. But those days are long gone...

Rich,
Buy it well once and you're done. I bought my Birchaven in 2011 with the MaxxFan already installed and it's gotten a ton of use, and I'm full-timing - way more use that typical. As noted, they're kind of a pain to clean, but it's by no means difficult or a dealbreaker. The low profile looks better than the vent rain covers, and the ability to leave the vent open in all but the most torrential downpours is wonderful. Mine is the older version - no remote, can't recirculate air when the vent is closed, only 3 speeds not 10. Those upgraded features are tempting me to upgrade from a working fan...
Steve,
I don't think I can fit a second MaxxFan in my rear bath due to the roof pod. Do you have a pod?

One more question here...can you have the lid open and fan off? Wife doesnt like noise when she sleeps and if the lid can be left open to simply vent that would be great.
Sorry for the questions guys...2 of these are going to run me close to 850cdn for the pair before tax so i need to make sure of everything plus i have no choice, i need to replace the fans and i want fans that can run both ways, not just one so choices get very limited.

Yes !!
Lid can be open with fan off. And fan can run with lid closed. (Becomes a ceiling fan). And it’s a bit of a nice skylight too.
We’re very happy with ours.
Oh yea - can be thermostatically controlled too.
