Hi all,

I need some help here please , I own a 74 glenbrook with just over 61,000 original mi and under a 1,000 mi on the tranny. After a short trip I went to park the coach and while shifting to park there was a loud grinding noise coming from the tranny when the shifter went into neutral and then in the park position. The next morning I started her up and didn’t hear the noise when I moved her back and forth about 100 ft. Any ideas ?

Thank You
Luis

If you were not completely stopped when shifting into park it will make a "loud grinding noise" as the parking pawl goes into place.

But you probably know that. (That's all I've got)

Follow the manual's procedure for adjusting the shift linkage.
