There have been a few Comcast wireless router fires in our area in the past few months. Residential and commercial. A neighbor caught theirs in time with only smoke damage. A garage cross the interstate happened on the weekend was a total loss including customers cars. If you have one you might move it away from anything flammable and maybe put it on a dish or something that won’t burn and put a smoke alarm over it. GMC content included.

Li batteries = pay attention. I keep such items on a cheap stamped steel pizza pan. Dollar Tree is your friend.
Also, when running a small space heater, it also goes on a pizza pan.
Just saying.

Just a brief reminder, the AC wiring in our coaches is minimal sized! Do NOT use a 1000 watt or larger space heater in a coach by using the internal outlets!
Don't judge a heater by it's physical size, read the label.
750 watts maximum!
Get a newer one that has a 'tip over safety switch'

On my 77 GM upfit the romex is 12 AWG. That’s good for 20 Amps by code so as long as both ends are snug, a 1500 Watt heater is not a problem. What, did Coachmen use 14 AWG or something?

What's wrong with 14 AWG? That's regular size for 15 ampere circuits and breakers are there to protect the wiring. (Just looked it up and original breakers for receptacles are 20amp, hmmm)
Usually wiring problems are with connections being loose and overheating, as John said above, not the actual wires.

Not what I said. I said with 12 AWG and a 1500 Watt heater (about 12-12.5 Amps) is fine. The previous post said with warning not to exceed 500 Watts. 14AWG breakered at 15A is correct and running a 12.5Amp continuous load will make wiring slightly warm long term, but still code.

Wasn't disagreeing with you, I just have a habit of quoting the last person in the thread. As you said, 1500 Watts is still code for both wires.
